Customer's Custom-Colored Chimney

This project was particularly exciting due to our client's vision for a fully customized color scheme. From the mortar to the charcoal-colored concrete cap, every detail was tailored to her preferences.

I'll never forget asking for her preferred colors, and watching her swing her pointed finger over to her neighbor's chimney to say, "Not like that."

We repointed approximately 20 square feet of mortar with a custom brown-buff mortar color, installed two courses of corbelled brickwork to increase water shedding away from the facework, and added an 8x12 flue liner before pouring a custom-colored grey-brown concrete cap - (and other standard work, like installing new flashing where it had failed) - ensuring the aesthetic matched her vision.

The end result was a beautifully restored chimney that reflected her style.
