A Fireplace Glow-Up

This red-brown brick fireplace is right in the middle of the home, creating a natural divide between the living and dining areas. It’s got great bones and a ton of character—but by the time the new homeowners moved in, it was looking a little tired and covered in fine dust and failed aged sealer. They reached out to us hoping we could bring it back to life without changing what made it special.

We carefully prepped the space, gave the brick a deep clean, and sealed it with a wet-look finish to help the natural tones shine through again. The end result was brighter, cleaner, and immediately brought new energy into the room.

The homeowners loved it so much they decided to take things a step further. We helped them source a custom mantel and mount from our trusted carpenter Stephen over at ZimBOARDS. Stephen offered so much of his time and attention to our client, reviewing pictures of the space, discussing measurements and mounting and installation options with us. It's his craft that topped off this project.
